it's been a hectic and very much enjoyed weekend..
Thursday - LVMH D&D.. i didn't want to go initially but my colleagues were asking me to.. so yea, i went.. the theme was Wild Wild West.. means red indians or cowboy/girls.. i didn't really get to shop for any costume or rather i didn't want to rent any.. so i went with just my brown dress.. i can tell you, only people from my store were under-dressed.. yes.. UNDER-dressed.. the rest took the effort to rent costumes and what not(s).. well, i didn't really enjoy it that much.. the first that didn't really made me go home wasted.. haha.. oh well.. for more to come.. cheers!
Friday - Nik's 22nd birthday.. i planned a birthday suprise for him at Popeyes.. i liased with Bernard to get the Bella crew down.. and i think the suprise wasn't much of the suprise for him because someone burst the bubble 10 minutes before we reached.. bummer eh? hell yea.. so anyway, the second half of my plans didn't really happen the way i wanted it to.. i freaking dropped his card somewhere out there.. silly me.. urgh! just hope that he enjoyed himself though.. =)
Saturday - Fadli's performance at Victoria Theater.. Nik came with me and we met my parents there.. i enjoyed the first performance in comparison to this year's.. but they did well though.. definitely.. and my dad just had to add that he hoped for the next performance, it'd be the same person coming with me again.. haha.. after that, we dropped by the bbq pit at Pasir Ris Park.. the guys were definitely crazy.. it was for Adi who just came back from Brunei.. and then, midnight TMNT with the Bella crew.. i didn't really find it exceptionally nice.. i don't know.. i fell asleep mid of the show.. maybe because i was tired.. so, go if you are a hardcore TMNT fan.. cowabunga!
Today - baby shower in the afternoon.. Julia is so cute.. she was sleeping most of the time.. uncomfortably because she was passed from one person to another.. the rest of the day was just eating and napping.. makes me feel like a lazy kitty.. i was thinking of cleaning up my room since my boyfriend complained that it was messy.. i'll postpone it to tomorrow i guess.. hah..
tell me, is that not a crazy weekend or what..

i was just surfing around looking at movie reviews just now.. i decided to check out Hannibal Rising.. because Alfrey, gave such great description and review of the book.. i figured it would be a good movie to watch.. and yet, when i read the review.. this bugger who decided to base his opinion on his girlfriend made it all bad..
here goes:
what you did love about the movie - nothing at all and my girlfriend (they asked about the movie!)
comments on the show - (in my own words) it was bad apart from getting to sit beside my girlfriend, which was the best thing (okay, so you watch a movie with your girlfriend.. you weren't expecting to sit rows away from her right?! duh!)..
like okay, now we all know that you freaking love your girlfriend.. but i think it would be much more appreciated should you do that in your own personal and private space.. not for a movie review.. thank you.. and plus, maybe they got hanky panky during the show which was probably the only reason why he enjoyed sitting beside his girlfriend..
what a dork! anyway, the reviews from Boston Globe and Chicago Tribune weren't fantastic at all.. in fact, all the reviews didn't have any good thing to say about the movie.. so, i guess i'll pass on the show and find the book.. and rely on my imagination to run wild.. =)

Lying Through Your Teeth, Head Automatica
it hurts me.. really.. could it be karma? i don't know.. maybe.. because he went through what my ex boyfriend did.. exact thing.. i tried.. i did tell him of the obvious outcome.. it came right from my mouth.. what i went through and the shit he had to go through..
either way, he has to learn it on his own.. some people have it the easy way, some learn it the hard way.. and he had to do it the long way.. what could it be on his part? refusal to see? denial? fear of hurting the person he so called love? and so, if it was love for her too.. why is it that a new relationship is found within days.. and you so say it was love..
the irony of of it all.. "it takes a minute to fall in love".. so does it take that fast to get over someone you love(d) too? to fall out of love?
i just hope that he'll be strong enough to realise that life does not at all revolve around the other person's life only.. right now, his life is more important for him to start building first.. a classic statement, "there are so many fishes in the ocean"..

must watch movie of the month would be 300! i watched it with Nik and the Bella Crew last Friday.. and guess what, we conquered 2 whole rows of the cinemas! that's a total of 27 tickets! wow wee!! that's the longest ticket stubs i've ever seen or rather anyone ever seen! and i still have them with me.. haha..
it's better than Gladiator.. definite recommendation.. especially if you watch it with such a big group, with every one trying to re-enact the scenes after the show.. my boyfriend included..
another show to watch would be Stomp the Yard.. great moves and good storyline.. all emotions in a show for just $9.50 for the weekend tickets.. haha..
and i realised.. i've watched the most number of movies ever with Nik.. i have ALL the stubs kept apart from a couple that is with Nik i think.. yea, we are the movie-going couple.. wee! one show that we both are waiting for would be History Boys.. that would be a hilarious movie.. just hope that it's not getting us hyped us for nothing.. =)
i'm beginning to pick things up at work.. and it's a good sign.. target's been set by my darling boyfriend.. i'm trying to grasp as much as i can because come next month, i'd be having my own individual target to achieve.. stress, stress!
still, i love my boyfriend because he's the best!

i've been going for intensive training for the past 3 days.. there was supposed to be training today as well but it was cancelled as there weren't enough people.. and because of that, i had to start work today instead of Saturday..
how am i taking it so far? well, it's something definitely different.. a whole new environment.. not to mention the products i'm dealing with.. it has to be one of the biggest challenge i've faced so far.. though the environment at work can get very biased, i enjoyed work today..
i had someone to assist me.. he's pretty nice.. Ray, he imparted whatever he could to me.. and told me to take things easy.. pressure's really coming from my part.. it's somewhat more personalised service in comparison to Pastamania because you really give your attention to your customers.. and i like that..
plus, i managed to convince a customer to purchase a bag and he'll be coming back to find me! first person to add on my clientele.. haha.. just hope that i won't take too long to adjust to the new place.. especially when i have no authority right now.. quite an adjustment i must say.. i can no longer sit around in the office or take long lunch breaks or go out as and when i want to..
i'm beginning to miss being the superior one.. the bossy one.. all i can say is that it all starts somewhere.. =)

oh great.. i now have a new cupboard and a mini table and chair for my laptop.. despite the new furniture making my room look more cramped then it already is, i think it's a great job done on my part..
and the crazy part was the diposal of my old cupboard and my brother's from the 15th floor.. that was hell.. plus it was just me and my dad.. heavy, heavy.. but happy, happy..
i met up with Yuni for dinner yesterday.. it was great.. we walked and talked and walked some more.. haha.. somehow, it was just like we were 15 again.. just that this time, it was without the worry or fear of being caught for doing the "wrong" things.. haha..
i also went to see the guys at bishan.. and boy do i realise that i missed them loads.. and Ting Yu showed me a trick or two on Photoshop.. =)

sometimes, we all need assurance to help us get over that little uncertainty that gets in the way..
maybe, i need that assurance..
because the world is so big and it is full of many things yet undiscovered.. my own life has not been much discovered by myself either.. other aspects of it not to mention..
and that assurance would help me believe that i can do miracles with my life.. so, i won't have to worry much about that part of my life.. because i'm secured in that sense.. because i know where it'd be going even if all else fails in my life.. *touch wood*
maybe, i'm having too little faith.. maybe, i'm insecure..
i'm thinking too much.. and thinking too much always makes me go that way.. i'd better get some sleep.. will be having a long day tomorrow..

today marks the day, we're a year old.
- Tengku Nur Nikman & Tan Nur Fadhilah -
i've been thinking for some time. what can i write or say on this day. and yet, up to this point, i am unable to express myself in any way.
it's been a blessed year with you.
not even a simple poem could form in my head. because with you, things are beautiful the way they are. God has answered my prayers with the most magnificent poem ever, you.
thank you Tengku Nur Nikman for bringing life into me once again.
i love you. always.

i had a great week.. i bummed around alot but that is just a shortlived privilege that will end soon for me.. =(
met up with Amaida and Jean on Thursday.. did catching up and just chilling out.. it was a friendly night.. haha..
anyway, the weekend was awesome too.. i met up with Yuni.. had lunch at Secret Recipe.. it was just great to see her again.. it felt just like old times, just that what we've grown in many ways.. and it's almost a decade since we knew each other..
so, maybe this week will be spent meeting up with other friends i haven't been able to meet.. and to throw in some baking would be good.. that means i got to start my day early.. did i mention i'm addicted to the online tele series that is readily available for me.. haha..
okay.. so how was Fall Out Boy.. i enjoyed myself.. though not so much the pushing, shoving and squeezing we all had to endure for almost 3 hours in the hall before they let us into the actual hall itself.. thank goodness Nik was there to hold me up and protect me! and then it was more waiting before we get to see the real thing..
well, i think that they should really buck up on their security and definitely their organisation.. what made up for it was the band's great performance.. and the fact that Pete was way too cute for his own good.. haha..
and today was just a day well spent in front of my laptop watching Heroes.. and helping out in the kitchen.. and watching the tele with my parents.. bonding session.. =)
