being jobless, has its perks and definitely the downside of it.
2 months now. it has been hell trying to find a job. i am not asking for much, really. i'm looking for a no brainer job. anything that does not require me to worry about my responsibilities when i have to worry about school. and that will be soon enough. i just don't need that extra burden.
is it so hard to find an admin or customer service related jobs?! apparently so, for me. i am not that fussy. as long as i don't have to travel to Tuas (i can go to work with my dad when that happens. NOT!) or have shift work (i'm tired of shift work and i'm over it!) and get a decent pay (i did put S$1800 for expected salary. it's still negotiable!!). okay, maybe i am not that fuss-free. well, my friends told me that maybe, just maybe, i am overqualified. how can i change my resume?! if those 2 jobs were what i have done all this while. how can i make myself qualify?! i have no other experiences. would only stating my internship experience be sufficient?!
i have been enjoying the luxury of being unemployed. no worries about being late for work. staying and waking up later than i really should. indulge in the joy of snacking while watching re-runs of my favourite shows.
sure, it worked for a while. right now, i'd pay to get myself a job. i am getting restless. when everyone around me is slowly but surely, getting hired or waiting to get their hands on the year end bonus!! it's rubbing me off in the wrong way. plus, the depletion of my savings.
i'm too demoralised to even say it at all. how i am insecure in this area of my life is definitely hitting me in other areas. more like just a particular area. i've been having dreams, on a regular basis. and it's not those dreams of me in a white dress with pretty blue skies and beds of purple and white lilies strewn over the field. not at all.
the often reoccurances are definitely enough to make me cringe just at the thought of it. knowing that those were mere dreams did not do anything to help me, not one bit. somehow, it added on to it. it what?!
my insecurity. my paranoia.

i have an interview later at 2:30 pm.. like one out of the many emails and applications that i've sent out.. i wonder, are there that many people out there looking for jobs too?! oh well, hopefully what they will be offering me, will suit my needs.. *prays hard*
yesterday, my dad asked me to write a letter to Faiz's teacher explaining why he didn't go to school.. not that i'm a stranger to writing these letters and signing them off.. mostly when i was in Secondary 3, i write such letters and signed off as my mom.. as and when i didn't want to attend school.. yea, i forged my mom's signature.. *hush, hush* it came to a point where i couldn't be bothered to write any and i started owing my form teacher the excuse letters.. haha..
oh well, that besides the point.. i was reminded by an incident during that year itself.. my friend decided to skip school without his parents' knowledge, he drafted a letter.. he typed it out, that is.. he added a parting line after his short paragraph of excuse, printed on a fresh plain A4 sized paper and gave it to my form teacher..
the last line said,
"this is a computer generated letter which requires no signature"
what the fuck?! yea, he wrote that.. obviously my form teacher rejected it and asked for a hand written letter with his mom's signature.. hahaha.. i can't stop laughing just thinking about it.. those were the days... and eventually i moved on to taking MCs.. hahaha..
