ask yourself who is a better friend?
the past 2 weeks have been hell. it's been frustrating, depressing, annoying and most of all, disappointing.
i am not debating it anymore.
it seems set that i'm not a true friend. it sure seems wrong for me not to offer help for something i've paid for. something i've paid for?! yes, that's right. it definitely seems wrong of me not to accept responsibilities for something that i did not do. something i did not do?! yes, that's right.
i was questioned for my initiative. i was questioned in all aspects. i was told that i was petty, that i keep scores.
can i question now? what about my trust.

she should hear from you. you're her best friend. even if it's the most terrible thing in the world. you should tell her.
- Meredith Grey
you can't really blame her if she can't bring herself to tell you. i'm sure she, of all people as your best friend, has your best interest at heart and reasons for not telling you in the first place. that's what being best friends is all about too isn't it?
what happened in the last week or so since i updated.
i'm a proud owner of the supposed iPhone killer. Samsung Omnia. yeah baby. i bought it last Friday. the sudden decision to purchase one is due to a phone upgrade voucher that i received from M1. $150. note that M1 DO NOT give out vouchers every other year. hence the need to utilise it. i was definitely considering of buying the iPhone and switching over to Singtel. but then, i changed my mind. i was hesitant but i did get the Omnia and subjected myself to be a M1 customer yet for another 2 long years. i didn't get the black one because it supposedly finished the day i wanted to get it. of all times! i convinced myself i liked the white one better and indeed am i liking every bit of it right now.
nothing is perfect and so is the iPhone. there may be people who are pro iPhone saying that Omnia is a copycat and no where comparable to the "Jesus"Phone. i don't care. I LIKE MY OMNIA.
open houses last Saturday. great food at Farhan's place. i wished i could eat more. shy la. hehe. and then it was Apit's place. we had an awesome time playing Scrabble, courtesy of Dzul. Adnan who claimed that he was the champion ate his words when he was beaten hands down TWICE by Dzul. it was fun. who would have thought we would end up playing Scrabble?!
work has been a drag. i haven't been going to work on time. i finally finished the piles of files to be warehoused. and now, i am officially free. once i start to take over from my "favourite" colleague who will be leaving next week. good riddance.
Nik's court case was in the morning. nothing major. just the waiting time was ridiculous. 2 hours. just to be informed that a letter will be sent to him. that's the thing about Singapore justice system. the waiting time itself is sufficient to deter people from committing any offence.
i took MC today because i felt like it. i skipped school today because i felt like it. i watched Grey's Anatomy while Nik was sleeping because i felt like it.
later today will be Bella's raya outing. all planning in place. except for a few hiccups. i expect more hiccups along the way. money must come in first yea. i hope everyone enjoy themselves. i'm sure they will. raya or not.
Rika's gig at Home Club. wierd and wacky characters from the WEST. Al-Ameen at Bukit Timah. squirting ice cream goreng. a whole load of laughter. all in one night.
time for me to sleep now. it's been a long day. and another later. and the day after.

girrrl powerrr!
season finale for The Apprentice. i loved this season. the drama and the brilliant, brilliant candidates. i totally idolize Stefani. successful and smart woman of the year! i knew she would win. she can out-talk the rest as a defence attorney and she played smart. especially the video she made of herself. do i have to say more?
do you like it when people look or hover over you in public when you are reading a magazine or newspaper or anything for that matter. i don't like it one bit when people do that to me but i am guilty of it, from time to time. you can't help it huh. it happens unless you're sleeping or immersed in your own reading.
just now on my way home from class, i didn't go to work today by the way, there was this old lady who was sitting in front of me in the bus. the bus was packed and there was another lady who was standing beside her holding a Lianhe Wanbao (or similar). without hesitation, she asked the lady standing if she could read her paper. the lady standing was shocked that she even asked but gave it anyway. the old lady skimmed through the headlines and return the paper to the rightful owner. she asked the old lady to keep it but the old lady said that she just wanted to see the headlines.
wah! how daring this old lady. to her, it's just borrowing. but if i were the other lady, i would ask her to piss off and get her own paper. then again, if i were in the same position, i think i would not have recovered fast enough from the shock that i'd give her the paper and think about the whole scenario again later. i would probably move away from her too.
terror or what this old lady?!

please sit, priority seat.
the fact that SMRT decided to be pro-society and paste a huge arrow sticker with the usual visuals for the aided, pregnant lady or elderly right on top the seat nearest to the door, do make the commuters slightly aware of the people in the train. why? because with such obvious visuals pointing right down at you, other commuters take the opportunity to stare at you and give you disgusted glances.
though, it has also given a few others the opportunity to kick themselves right in their behinds. i'm guilty of this as well, but i can say mine was an honest mistake.
i was in the train from Raffles to Kembangan yesterday after work. i was standing in front of a lady sitting in the priority seat. right up to Bugis, she managed to secure the seat until a lady boarded the train. this lady was wearing a green dress that looked like a maternity dress. i thought so too.
the lady in the seat looked at the pregnant lady and hesitated for one stop. eventually got up and insisted that the pregnant lady take her seat. pregnant lady refused and told lady that it's okay. lady wanted to sit her bottoms down again but hesitated. finally, the pregnant lady took the seat and the other lady stood near the door. when i looked at the pregnant lady, i immediately had a tiny laugh in me.
the lady made a mistake. pregnant lady was obviously not pregnant. apart from the fact that she's wearing the huge dress, she was also wearing high heels. too high for a mother-to-be. the heels and the age/face should have said it all. i, for a fact, knew how stupid the lady must have felt.
whereas mine was a younger lady and she was wearing flats. i assumed that she was pregnant from her dress and her flats. and then i realised, she's not pregnant, she's just flabby. i thought that the lady must have felt more stupid than i had on that day. plus, it must not be so pleasant either for pregnant lady if other people can mistake her for being pregnant when she's not. ouch!

pick me, choose me, love me.
i haven't cried this much since season 3 of Grey's Anatomy. i was kind of backward with the season and now, season 5 is out with 2 new episodes. i need to dry my tear ducts by end of this week with season 4 so that i can move on to the new season.
sometimes, crying is healthy. it clears up the choked pipe.
raya has come and gone. some would say it's for a month. i would say it's officially over. i took the week off. i beat most people i know. most of my friends had to go back on the second day of raya. i couldn't care less. since i do not foresee myself going for a holiday anytime this year, this is my well deserved break. and now the week is coming to an end. it sucks. at times like this, i wish i was unemployed. i wouldn't want to be cursing myself silly but at some point, you need to have that unemployment break.
Bella Raya outing will be on the 18th. (un)luckily, me and Nik are the supposed organizers for this year. it was an involuntary decision. the winners of last year get to pick the guinea pigs for the following year. it'd be our turn to pass the baton next. we haven't gotten much planned out except for the booking of the bus. courtesy of my aunt's father-in-law. i need to get down with the route planning soon. everyone's asking.
G15 Raya outing is supposedly on the 11th. i still can't confirm if i am able to make it due to prior appointments made.
i'm looking forward to my massage appointment tomorrow. i really need it. my whole body feels like a chunk of wood. my sleeping habits have screwed up during the fasting month and it still remains that way. the past 2 weeks have taken a toll on my body. i haven't been to school too since the passing and then this week due to raya preparations. thanks to nice, helpful classmates of mine, their notes and lecture recordings will be mine soon.
i know i haven't been around much in your lives. i hope i could be too. i don't do well with awkwardness and pretense. so, i really hope to see you (all) soon. if i don't, Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
it has been a long one. so, sleep tight and sweet dreams.
Happy March 4th Tengku Nur Nikman. i love you more than you'll ever know.
