go shorty it's your birthday.

hip, hip, hurray! it's my darling's birthday today! he turns 23 on 23rd of March 2008. i wanted to do something for him, the significance of turning your age on your birth date. just like mine last year, 22 on 22nd. haha. he didn't want to.

so we watched a movie, Crows Zero, last night with the Bella guys and girls. it was about the Japanese gangsters. which he wanted to watch. bought a cake for him that he chose. haha. it turned midnight and we sang Happy Birthday to him in the dark, in the middle of Plaza Singapura. he can't remember his wish?! how...

today, it'll be dinner with his family at a restaurant i don't remember where. haha. oh well. present, present, present! haha.

Happy Birthday to Tengku Nur Nikman!
may you be blessed with abundance of happiness, laughters and love.
being older means ... that it's time to lose the hair, the velcro wallet, the pirate buckle, the shoes etc.
you can cut one item a year, take it slow. haha. you know i love you.
*lots and lots hershey's kisses!*
*lots and lots tummy blowies!*
*lots and lots ear tickles!*
*lots and lots of ME!*
i <3 my Prince!

what's your responsibilities?

it has been a very busy, busy week. since Saturday, picked up the AfterTheSky, FC Five and Miles Away boys at 5 am Sunday morning. they came down from KL. the show for FC Five and Miles Away was on Sunday at Scape! the planning went slightly haywire. not to mention the numerous people who kept getting on my nerves. i was responsible for the driving of the boys and helping out with the transportation of the barang barang to places. i also mended the merchandise booth, together with the roadie that came with Miles Away. he was Moey. the brother to the guitarist or bassist i think, Coey's his name. so Moey was not as cute as Coey was. he was younger. he turned 20 on Tuesday. so the girls went goo goo - gaa gaa over the boys. pardon me, i don't know much about the rest of the guys except one was Nick and the other was Chris. what were the names of the other two?! sheesh.

Hiro from FC Five was funny. i was mending the booth and Shahrul from Prince Isobelle came to disturb me. he had 14 bucks in his wallet and was persistently asking me if the CDs or t-shirts cost 14 bucks. i needed some help. so i called Hiro and said. "Hiro, look at him. naughty boy. naughty Boy." Hiro looked at Shahrul and said, "mmm. naughty boy. i kill him." that was his answer too, when the boys were in Japan and asked him, "where is godzilla?" he replied, "i kill him." haha. he's funny and to think that he has a degree in economics. crazy or what?! when asked why didn't he become the prime minister of Japan with his qualification, he answered, "how? i forgot everything." Kimura was cute with his blond hair and wacky shades. super hyper and he's the drummer. Toku was gigantically quiet. yea, he's a giant and he's quiet. Tommy, the vocalist, his face is always red from the drinking he does.

i took leave on Monday hoping to recover from the weekend. the lack of sleep. so the boys left on Tuesday. sent FC Five to the airport. Miles Away left in the morning so i can't send them off. and i thought what would be a long weekend will be ending tomorrow. darn! it can never be enough can it. oh well.

Good Friday was spent at my boyfriend's place. we got comfy and watched TV, Pirates of the Silicon Valley (i think) and Orgazmo. the Pirates of the Silicon Valley was about how Bill Gates and Steve Jobbs became who they are today. it was a good show. i liked it. and then i asked to watch something which was brainless and funny. my darling put on the Orgazmo. it was some 90s show which is ridiculously stupid. well, i really can't believe i got through the whole show. it's just plain dumb. go watch it. haha. we also cooked our own dinner since no one else was at home except for his younger brother. we fried some fries, nuggets, chicken sausages and prata. we attempted to re-create a dish we ate once, prata sausage. the sausage rolled in the prata with mayonaise and chilli. it was nice! but for our re-creation, the prata was not crispy because there was too much butter. so we ended up eating a mouthful of sausage, prata and grease. haha.

that is what we call budget.

i don't feel good.

today, i noticed shoes. since this morning in the train, during lunch and after work, on my way home. not ladies' shoes but men's shoes. i saw many and were amused at the number of shoes that fit wrongly. on a whole, i saw 4 shoes that were too big at the back and 5 shoes that were too big in the front. if women have shoes that are sharp and pointed in the front, men too have their equivalent. squarish though, but still long. not worn with the right pants and height, you'd look like you are trying to pull off a terrible Ronald McDonald mirror image. guys, go figure.

again, i noticed in the train on the way home. i was listening to my iPod as usual. standing on the other side of the train where the door never opens (because it's NEL). looking around, minding my own business. and at the corner of my eye, i saw two girls. malay girls. seeking attention from the public. only one of them did. she strut up and down, taking loudly (if i can hear her even with my iPod plugged in, that means she's really loud), cursing and laughing loudly. of course, you can have fun with your friend. why not. but there is a thin line between having mere fun (at times talking or laughing a little too loudly) and attention seeking. you can definitely tell the difference. i wouldn't even have given it much thought at all, why should i? but what irritate me was that she was cat-walking right in front of me. if you can't spare me from hearing your voice, please just spare me from looking at you. not to say that you have anything for me to look at either. overweight (not that i have anything against people who are overweight), bad hair and definitely bad jeans, that can't even provide proper support to that excess baggage. just stop.

when you are at home, you tried. when you are at work, you tried. even when you are with your lover, you tried. nothing seems to work at all. and yet, you still try. you tried again and again. at home. at work. at love. nothing worked for you. try harder, they say. you are on the verge of a breakdown. yet, you still gave it a try. you tried so hard, it doesn't look like you were trying. and after all these, you simply gave up. you gave up. you tried.

there's so many things that i want to say. so many things happened. my oh my. i'll just make do with the important ones ya.

4th March 2008
"give it up for Nik and Dila!" woo hoo! it was our 2nd year anniversary. oh yea, 2 years already huh. truth be told, i've never been in a relationship any longer than a year and a half. to have come this far, this is an achievement for me, and for us. i can't never say enough.

since Nik planned for Valentine's Day, i planned for our anniversary. i took half day off from work and he met me at City Hall. i brought him to Pan Pacific Hotel. uh huh, give him some good time alright. haha. i brought him to Wellness Village, for a body scrub and massage. he had strawberry scrub and i had chocolate. it's double yummy and it's double good! though i wish it could have been a teeny weeny bit longer. haha.

it hasn't been easy dealing with me.
thank you for still being here.
i wish the stars for us. always.
i love you baby. let's go Montreal. *kisses*

8th March 2008
i received a package while i was still in dreamland. it wasn't even in my room. i still wonder why was it locked in Faiz's room?! hmm. so moving on ...
do you know what it feels like? it feels like Santa came by when i was sleeping and dropped off the long overdue present he owed me. i took no time in taking out my new found joy, Macbook. what else is there for me to say. i'm a happy person with a new Macbook, and a boyfriend who helps me set up the wireless modem and my Macbook. =)
p/s: i did attempt to put up some pictures to further illustrate how i was tearing up (okay, not really) the packaging to reveal my Macbook. but heck, i don't even know how to operate a Macbook that well yet to post some decent pictures. haha. so, hope i'd be able to do something about it the next time i come by huh. xoxo

i received 2 emails from a friend. just to share...

Things You Can Never Undo
A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport. As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies. She sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace.

When she took out one cookie, a man took one also. She was irritated but said nothing. She just thought, "What a nerve! If I was in the mood, I'd punch him for daring!" For each cookie she took, the man took one too. This was infuriating her but she didn't want to cause a scene. When only one cookie remained, she thought, "ah... What can this abusive man do now?" Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her the other half. Ah! That was too much! She was much too angry now!

In a huff, she took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place. When she sat in her seat, inside the plane, she looked inside her purse to take her eyeglasses, and to her suprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened! She was so ashamed! She realised that she was wrong. She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse. The man had divided his cookies with her without feeling angered or bitter... while she had been very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with him. And now, there is no chance to explain herself... nor apologise.

There are four things that you cannot recover:
1. The stone after the throw,
2. The words after it's said,
3. The occasion after the loss,
4. The time after it's gone.

Upgrade the IT System
Celebrating 40 Years of Engineering Excellence

UPGRADE FROM BOYFRIEND TO HUSBAND

Dear IT Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower, gifts and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0 and World Cup 2.0.

And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate Housewife

Dear Desperate Housewife,

First keep in mind:
Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download
Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.

If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1.

Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another
Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash
Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited
memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Tasty Food 3.0 and Tongkat Ali 6.9.

Good Luck,
IT Support

the first email made me reflect. the second email made me laugh. either way, there's much truth to both emails. anyway, i hope that the solution to the system upgrade works! haha.

Saturday, March 01, 2008

and it's already March.

my boyfriend wants to go to IMM. all the way to Jurong?! yea, and he defines that as something new to be done. something new - not go for holiday or anything like that? heh. to go to Jurong? and he asked, why won't you drive to Jurong? because my dear, it'd take up half my fuel tank. my car drinks petrol like you drink green tea. haha. i love you.

okay, we shall see if he's awake by now to still make the trip by train and back to his place to get my car. haha. oh, maybe the travelling plans might change.

wake up baby, wake up.
